Jewish boys

Description

We see a group of Sanaani Jewish children, all wearing the distinctive sidelocks. There is an argument to be made in favour of sidelocks based on the Jewish tradition. The practice in Sanaa, however, seems to have been imposed by the Imams as part of their rulings aimed at setting the Jewish community apart from their Muslim neighbours.
