Schwaner did not travel alone. He was accompanied by a team of assistants, that included a few artists who made views of the landscapes in Kalimantan, to be included in the printed travel account. One of these landscapes is this view of the Barito River, that corresponds to the lithograph in the book, although it has not been the direct model for the lithographer.
